Description:

I purchased this car in January of 2018 with 10,541 miles. It was damaged around the right front wheel and the car had a Salvage title. The frame area right behind the right front wheel was dented in (glass was not broken and no airbags were deployed). Upon getting it home I had a local body shop measure the underside of the car to determine if it was out of square and if any frame straightening would need to be done. The car was determined to be square, but the dented frame section would need repair. I was lucky enough to find the exact frame section I needed and simply cut out the damage section and replaced it with the exact template piece from the donor frame. (Pics available upon request). I had it professionally welded by an aluminum welder. Upon completion of the repairs I had the car inspected and obtained a “Prior Salvage” designation title from out local County Treasurer.
In the summer of 2018 I drove the car quite a bit as I’m a member of a local corvette club. My wife and I drove it out to Spearfish, SD for the annual Corvette rally and it performed flawlessly.
Later that fall, on a drive I heard a ticking sound while decelerating which turned out to be a spun rod bearing. My best alternative was to put a brand new engine in the care which provided me with 3 years of factory warranty. $14,540.61 later, the car had a new engine installed by our local Chevrolet garage.
In the summer of 2019, my wife and I took it to the Black Hills again and everything worked perfectly. Since then, the car has hardly been driven due to Covid-19 causing most Corvette Club activities to be cancelled.
I’m ready to move on, the car doesn’t get driven enough to justify having it. We have 5 kids at home and seldom are there only 2 of us going anywhere.
